Karl Joseph Brown

Karl Joseph Brown, aged 72 of Columbus, OH passed away peacefully on April 20, 2012. Karl was born March 5, 1940 in Columbus, OH to Anna and Harry Brown; both proceeding him in death. Married to Carol for 51 years; they raised their family in Columbus. He was a graduate of St. Charles Preparatory School and Franklin University with Bachelor's degree in Business with Summa Cum Laude honors. During his career, he worked at ITT, owned a contracting business and retired from Farmers Insurance in 2004. During retirement, he and his wife traveled the country making many friends and memories along the way. Following his Cursillo weekend Karl developed a passion for serving food pantries. Karl was an active member of St. Thomas More Newman Center for over 30 years, touching many lives with his involvement in Pre-Cana and the Paulist Associates. Karl is survived by his wife Carol; sister Carol Unrue and brother Arthur Brown; son Kenneth, his wife Andrea and their children Virginia and Andrew, daughters Monica Janes, Julie Panzer and her husband Ed; Sister Mary Dolores Brown IHM (Nancy) and Jeannine Ferry and her children Zach and Davis.
