Karissa Josephine Hibbler

Karissa Josephine Hibbler passed away in Los Angeles, CA on September 1, 2018, as a result of injuries sustained from a tragic vehicular accident. She was born at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, OH on July 21, 1996.

She will forever and deeply be missed by her mother, Karen Ruble-Hibbler; father, Jack (Jenny) Hibbler Jr; siblings, Jennifer Ruble (Malcolm Scott), James Ruble, Thomas (Chelsea) Ruble, Terrah Hibbler, Jack Hibbler III, & Kameron Hibbler; many nieces and nephews; and her rescued cats and dogs

Karissa had a huge caring heart, she was beautiful on the inside, and absolutely gorgeous on the outside. She was super intelligent, creative, and fun-loving, with so much potential for greatness. We only wish that she recognized the beauty in herself that everyone else saw in her. Karissa battled some demons for several years, but she never wanted to be defined by those problems. She was so much more than that. Karissa was a treasure. She loved hard and was deeply loved by many. She cared immensely about those who couldn’t care for themselves, and she wanted to take in every stray animal she found. She was the queen of funny memes and her sense of humor was infectious.

We will miss Karissa every day for the rest of our lives and the memory of her contagious smile will never be forgotten. Karissa was taken from us too soon, but we are sure God has a greater job for her and that she is at peace now. Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not -- We will love you always, Karissa.

Friends can join Karissa’s family in a Celebration of her Heavenly Homecoming on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High Street in Worthington, with visitation from 1:00 to 3:00PM that afternoon, and a memorial service immediately following at 3:00PM at the same location. Pastor Mark Dettmer officiation. A private committal service will be held at Mifflin Township Cemetery at a later date
