

Judith (Howell) Van Dyke, age 84, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at Kobacker House in Columbus. Judy was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on August 5, 1937, to the late John and Dorothy (Mitchell) Howell. Judy was a long-time clerk with the United States Postal Service and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Portsmouth where she played the organ. Judy was an avid gardener, and she had a passion for always finding a bargain. Above all else, she was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Van Dyke; siblings, John (Eileen) Howell, Paul (Mildred) Howell, and Helen (Robert) Berry; and son-in-law, Mark Lemont. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cinda Andrews Lemont, Sue (Bill) Andrews Moore, Skip (Julie) Andrews; grandchildren, Sarah (Mike), Jessica (Matt), Lauren, Alex (Hannah), Denver, and Zac (Bailey); great-grandchildren, Avery, Lydia, Cole, Rowan, Mae, and Eliza; numerous nieces and nephews; loyal friend, Linda Sturgill and special niece and caregiver, Carolyn Pettit. A graveside service will be held at noon on Saturday, May 21, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 on Sunday, May 22, at Westerville Community United Church of Christ, 770 County Line Rd.
