Jonathan Wesley Pryor, age 27, passed away on June 25, 2011. He was born on September 19, 1983, in Columbus. Preceded in death by brother, Neil Galbreath Pryor; grandparents, Gerald H. Galbreath Jr., George M. Pryor Sr., and Marcia H. Pryor. Survived by parents, George M. Pryor Jr. and Susan Galbreath Pryor; brother, George M. Pryor III; sister, Eszter B. Pryor; grandmother, Margaret B. Galbreath; and many loving relatives and friends. Jon graduated from New Albany High School in June of 2002. He was enrolled to attend the University of Washington in Seattle, when he was involved in a tragic vehicle accident. Jon fought a courageous battle for nine years. He had loved backpacking, scuba diving, photography, and had a passion for the environmental sciences. Jon also loved golf, snowboarding, and fly fishing. The families would like to thank the entire staff at Grant Hospital and the New Albany Care Center for the extraordinary care and love extended to Jon for the last 9 years. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Jon W. Pryor Environmental Scholarship Fund, c/o The New Albany Community Foundation, 220 Market St., New Albany 43054. Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E. Dublin Granville Road, New Albany. Fr. Jerome P.
