John E. Pettit, died peacefully at home, January 3, 2021 in Dublin, Oh. Born in Clinton Iowa to the late Max and Helen Pettit. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joan; sons Daniel (Linda), Joel (Christina), Michael (Lori), grandchildren; Rachel, Brian, Hayley and Sean; his sister Judy Hopping; sister in law Jeanne Wrightfield, niece Joannie and numerous friends. A paint contractor by trade, John, or "Jack" to his family and friends, was a Buckeye fan and enjoyed reading, music, and spending time with his family. A memorial service is not planned at this time but, contributions may be made to Clintonville Resource Center, 3222 N. High St, Columbus, Ohio 43202 in his memory.
