John was born in Newark on September 20, 1942 to the late Howard and Elsie (Fulk) Goodin. He died on Saturday December 3, 2011 surrounded by his loving family at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was 69.
“Jack” as he was called by his friends, was a member of the Newark HS Class of ’61, member of the Brushy Fork United Methodist Church, where he served on numerous boards; was the founder of Goodin Electric, a commercial property entrepreneur, former owner of the Bullseye Saloon, and was member of the Crusader Masonic Lodge, 32 degree, Scottish Rite, and the Shriner’s.
John was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie (Van Orman) in 2003. He is survived by his wife wife Debbie, sons J.R. (Cindy) Goodin, Howard (Julie) Goodin, granddaughters Courtney and Grace Goodin, and Cindy’s children, Kate, Rachel, Sydney, Tori, and Regan Carpenter. He is also survived by his father-in-law Fred McClain, Debbie’s children, Alex and Anthony Anderson, Becki Gienger, Jessica (Joe) Wiley, Becki’s daughter, Chloe Lackey, and Jessica’s son, Kordell Wiley; and his loving pets Coach, George, and Sandy Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM where a masonic service will be held at 7:30 PM or go to www.CrissSchoedinger.com to sign an online guestbook or share a special memory.
