Jimmie Raymond Tackett, 77 of West Jefferson, died Thursday, February 28, 2013. He was born October 7, 1935 in Ligon, KY to the late Willie and Garnet (May) Tackett. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired with forty four years from Columbus Coated Fabrics. He enjoyed softball, bowling and bingo. He touched many lives. Jimmie is preceded in death by his wife Laura and survived by children Jodie Hutcheison and Jamie Tackett (Susan Reffitt) and step daughter Nita Kaye Baldridge, five grandchildren Natassia, Christina, Jessica and Jeremy Tackett and Hunter DeShazo, great grandson Ethan and three brothers. Family will receive friends Sunday from 3-6 PM at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, where a funeral service will be held Monday at 10 AM. Interment in Pleasant Cemetery.
