Jess helped me in more ways than she could ever know. She was my guiding light after the darkest time of my life. She helped me come back to real life and be true to myself. Her impact to the world will never be forgotten

I was a past patient of Jess’s she truly brought a light to me and all the other clients. Her words were touching and her heart and passion was louder. The word got out to me and other patients of hers and we are all so heart broken to have lost someone as heroic and helpful as Jess. Such a beautiful beautiful person inside. And It’s very heart breaking to know she can’t help more people in the future like she’s helped me and many others… love and light to her family and people who loved her.

A wonderful person, and a great mother who loved her sons with all her heart.

I remember her smile and kindness at our company. Her light and caring will be sorely missed. Her passing has effected all of us at Equitas. Good by Jessica you will be missed terribly. Sending prayers to her family for their loss of a precious person who was taken way too early.

Jessica was an outstanding woman and friend to me. She’s helped me in my recovery greatly. She was a dear friend and will be missed greatly.

Good afternoon, 

My name is Ky and Jessica was my regional manager here at Equitas. Just wanted to share a good memory I have of her to highlight the caring person she was. 

In Sept of 2023, my father passed away while I was in DC at a convention. If we were to leave the conference early would not be reimbursed. Jessica showed so much compassion and support. She made she I got money back as well seeing that I got home okay and texted me a few days after to check on my well-being. 

I was able to thank her while she was on this earthly plane so I just wanted to do it again while in the spiritual one. She was what all managers/people should aspire to be. She was caring, firm, compassionate, and mostly understanding.

As somebody who has recently experienced loss, just know it is ok to cry no matter where it is. Sending you peace and understanding during this time.

Our hearts break at the loss of Jessica.  Although in our business lives for a short time, she made an important impact on our HIV work together.  She touched each of us in unique ways that can't be replaced and will be missed. Because she was so passionate about French Bulldogs, in her memory, we have donated $300 to the Columbus Humane, whose "approach to advancing animal welfare is based on the belief that innovation should be constant. And that moving forward with thought-leading programs that enrich, fulfill and, yes, save lives is more than a goal. It’s a given" (Columbus Humane, n.d.).  We believe this fits Jessica perfectly.

Jessie was one of the funniest, most empathetic, talented, brilliant people I have ever known. We met 32 years ago when we were kids. She cared deeply about other people & she was passionate & hilarious. My memories of her are full of laughter & deep connection. She was one of my best friends for many years & treated me with kindness & understanding. I am devastated & my heartfelt condolences go out to her family & everyone who loved her. I adored her & I will keep her in my heart forever. I will miss you so much Jess. You really saw me & not many people do. I hope you felt like I saw you too.

Keeping her family in my thoughts at such a difficult time. I had the pleasure of getting to know Jessica more personally in the last two months and I will be forever grateful for that. I was able to see her passion, empathy, and kindness up close. She was such a bright light at Equitas and the agency will not be the same without her.

Jess was one of the few people in this world brave enough to be the bright light. She will be deeply missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Jessica briefly at my current job. The kindness and warmth she excuded combined with her self confiendence and empathy were inspiring and I will always remember her for this-though I knew her for a short period of time. I will always keep her memory alive inside my heart as a possibility model to be a becon of change and optimisim. I keep her friends and family in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that we can all receive the comfort and care needed to endure on.

Dan- reading the condolences of Jessica’s friends and colleagues, really gives me a deep understanding of what type of person she is. What incredible innate qualities she embodied, and most importantly, gifted people with. I wish I had the opportunity to meet her.

I was so saddened and heartbroken to hear of Jessica's sudden passing.  We had just connected earlier that week, so it was really a huge shock.  I loved her like a sister, or more truthfully, like the sister I wish I could have had.  We didn't live in the same town anymore, but we were always connected via text, chat, or Instagram stories/memes.  There isn't a day that goes by, that I keep wishing I could contact her, and then I remember that she has passed on.  
I send my deepest condolences to her family, her two boys, her husband Dan, and her best three amigos -- Anthony, Chris, and Shawn.  Jessica, you are missed and loved more than you know.

Jessica inspired me and so many in her role at Equitas Health. She gave so much light in this sometimes very dark world. She will be deeply missed. I am blessed to have been impacted by her genuine love and empathy for others.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Seeing the joy Jess found with you is a beautiful gift. Jess and I were "sisters" for several years and my memories of times with her are a bright spot in a sometimes dark world.  Jess's intellect, wit, humor, and deep empathy for others was a gift that will  continue to bless generations to come.  Her laugh would echo through even the Akron Stadium. My last visit with her was by chance last year and  I treasure her warm hug and encouragement. We shared a love for Theatre and the Arts and I will miss her.

Sending my condolences to this family. Jessica was one of the only people that I could truly be myself with. She allowed me to talk about my faith freely without judgment. That touched someone like me deeply because I know how it feels to go through life and feel things at a deep level and to only have certain souls and the creator carry you through. She always let you see her for her true self and for that I will be forever grateful. It saddens me that others won't get to experience the bright light you shined on the world. I knew Jess in college, it’s a tragedy that she has passed too soon. The sheer vivacity of the woman will never be forgotten.

I am extremely sadden and still shaken by Jessica’s unexpected passing.  Working directly with Jessica as her HR Business Partner  in the Health Advocacy Department, I watched her make an influential  impact with her knowledge, empathy and compassion with her employees.  I will  miss her smile.  Jessica was an incredible human being and will be truly missed.   My condolences to her family.

I am heartbroken over Jessica’s passing. Although she was my supervisor briefly, she made a lasting impact through her compassion, integrity, and by she always showing up for others. I am extremely saddened to hear of Jessica's passing. She came into our agency and had made a significant impact. I did not get to work with her directly, but from what I did get to know about her - she was making strides and a difference within our organization. She will be missed by many, and sending condolences to her family during this time.

I am so heart broken to hear of Jessica's passing. She volunteered to give me direct supervision, despite having a full plate as our director, after my supervisor left. During that time, I got to know what an incredible social worker and human being she was. She will be so missed.  Wishing comfort to her family after this devastating loss.
