Born in Columbus to the late Nathan and Wilma Vance on February 6, 1960. He lived in Columbus until the age of 28, where he then moved with his wife and two daughters to Centerburg, OH. Jerry loved living in the country and the simple life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, models/toy trains, and most of all spending time with his family (preferably with a large meal). He retired officially in 2017, and settled down with his wife in Westerville, OH.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Kathryn Vance. Two daughters: Kristen Vance with Rusty Hill and Jamie Vance-Higginbotham with husband Bob Higginbotham. His Grandchildren: Kaylee Vance, Olivia Vance, Cassie Vance, Trevor Hubbard, and Bobby Higginbotham IV. His sister Diana (Gail) Vance, and brother Larry Vance.
Jerry was full of life and lit up a room with his laugh and always cracking a joke. He enjoyed a good meal and his family gathering around the table. He loved his wife Kay with his entire heart, she is his honey bee and better half. He will be greatly missed and the world is a little less vibrant without him.
Private cremation services have been entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Road.
