Jerome L. Carter “Rome”, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at the tender age of 49 years. He was born in Columbus on September 16, 1973, Phyllis M. Carter and James Goodwin. He graduated in 1991 from South High School. He went on to obtain an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.
Those who knew Jerome, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.
On March 18, 2022, Jerome married Anunobi Nonye Sabina.
Jerome leaves behind his loving wife Anunobi Nonye Sabina; his brothers James (Charmaine) Carter and Shamar Williams. Two nephews Christopher and Jadon Carter; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to cherish his memory.
Jerome is preceded in death by his mother Phyllis M. Carter; his father James Goodwin; sister LaKisha M. Williams; grandparents Audrey and Annie Carter, and aunt Audrey “Sister” Carter.
A Visitation for Jerome will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229, followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 PM.
