Jeffrey S. Pearce

Jeffrey Steven Pearce was born on February 5th, 1956, in Columbus, Ohio to parents Jerry and Lora Pearce. He resided in Johnstown, Ohio, and was called home early on May 8th, 2019. He graduated from Johnstown-Monroe High school in 1974, served honorably in the US navy, and retired from the US Postal Service. Jeff was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. Jeff will be remembered for being a generous soul with spiritual insight like no other. His gentle nature and kind disposition was only matched by his ability to make others laugh as well as provide comfort and solace. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his spiritual devotion in Jesus Christ. He loved having his morning coffee with his best friend and beloved wife, Kathy, enjoyed playing guitar, and spending time with his cat, Leon. Jeff served the Lord in many different capacities in various churches and congregations. He was a very prophetic and often shared his insight and visions with his family. In later years, without reservation, Jeff provided care and comfort to his father and mother, when they could no longer care for themselves.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Pearce; his brother, Greg Pearce; and his nephew, Ian Pearce. He is survived by his mother, Lora Pearce; his best friend and wife, Kathy Pearce; his children, Alina Pearce, Aaron Pearce, and Melanie (Jared) Hertenstein; step-sons, Joseph and Jesse Jacob; sisters, Lisa (Doug) and Diana Pearce; brother, David (Robin) Pearce; grandchildren, Sadie, Andre, Jaxson and Adyson; Uncles, Lynn "Corky" (Patricia) Tietz, Ray Pearce; his Aunt, Carolyn Anelick; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 14th from 5-8pm at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230; where a Funeral Service will be, Wednesday May 15th at noon, with visiting an hour prior. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
