Jeffrey Lynn Babione Sr.

Jeffrey L. Babione, Sr., passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at home in Columbus OH, with family by his side. He was born to Dorothy L. (Grachek) and Paul R. Babione on August 9, 1941, at Fremont Memorial Hospital, the oldest of four children.

Jeffrey was a 1959 Fremont St. Joe graduate. In June 1959, he joined the U.S. Navy stationed at Boston General Hospital, Chelsea, MA as a Corpsman. Upon returning to Fremont, he worked several jobs - the Fremont Foundry and Whirlpool, Clyde, OH. In 1967, he relocated, attending St. Petersburg Junior College, St. Petersburg, FL.

In 1969, upon meeting The Love of His Life, Jeffrey relocated to Perrysburg, OH, working at the Chrysler Corporation, enrolling at BGSU and graduating in March 1973.

On August 29, 1970, Jeffrey married Jeanette M. Foos at St. Michael’s Church, Gibsonburg, OH. After 53 years of marriage, she survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Jeffrey L. Babione, Jr. (Jeung-Hee,) Columbus, OH (Hiro Park, deceased, Natsuki Park, Chicago) and Zachary D. Babione (Lourdes), Titusville, FL; And Our Wonderful and Beautiful Granddaughter, Nia. Also surviving sister, Mary Ann Stanley (Ernest, Jr.), North Port, FL; brother, Bernard (Carolyn), Jeffersonville, IN; nieces Debbie Latino (Dr. Pete), Louisville, KY; Dana Stanley, Austin, TX; nephews Brett Babione (Dr. Catherine), Cincinnati, OH; Andrew Stanley, Tallahassee, FL; great nephew, Grant Babione, Cincinnati, OH.

Predeceased by, in addition to his parents, Philip A. Babione, brother.

Gravesite services will be Private. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
