Jay Alan Thimmes

Jay Alan Thimmes, age 44, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Jay was born on June 16, 1978 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Silas and Karen (Skony) Thimmes. Also preceding in death was his long-time girlfriend Jenifer Van Baalen. Jay was a 1997 graduate of Upper Arlington High School. He was naturally gifted and very smart with computers and technology. He loved animals, especially his 16-year-old dog Ike. Jay enjoyed hanging out with friends and could often be found playing competitive darts. Jay will be deeply missed by his brother Craig Thimmes; sister Amy (Todd) Barcus; nephews Camden and Jake Barcus; uncle Jeff (Kathleen) Chrisman; cousin Robert Taylor; friends Patric Woodruff and Julia Patten; canine companion Ike; and numerous extended family. Family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00pm on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221.
