Jason Talbert Menzie

Jason was born July 20, 1979, in Carbondale, IL. In addition to Illinois, Jason lived in Michigan, Alabama, Florida and Ohio.

Jason was a 1998 graduate of Portage Community High School (Portage, MI) where he studied a curriculum heavily influenced by industrial arts and technical based skills.

Jason was employed in various industries during his lifetime but enjoyed the building trades/contracting industry the most.

Jason was a member of the Eagles Club, loved music and played keyboards. He enjoyed celebrating holidays, especially July 4th and Halloween. Jason played hockey and baseball for several years while in Michigan. He was also a sports fan who greatly enjoyed, and looked forward to, Ohio State football. He also followed the ups and in recent years, the mostly downs, of the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and great grandparents on both sides as well as his beloved canine buddy Stanley “Stan Stiffler.”

Jason is survived by his parents, Timothy (Janet) Menzie and Lea Menzie (Pacatte); his siblings, TJ Menzie, Madeline Menzie and Anthony “Danny” (Amanda) Menzie; nephew, Jaydon Menzie and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Friday, November 11, 2022, at Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus, OH 43229.

Jason’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all those who loved him. He will be deeply missed and remembered always. We take comfort in knowing those who have gone before him will be waiting with open arms.
