After reconnecting several years ago on Facebook, we met in person again at a celebration of life for our parents in St. Clairsville, OH on Memorial Day 2023.  Plus we got to meet Michelle, who is an absolute sweetheart!  Seeing each other again after so many years was a truly emotion experience! I can’t never express in words what Janelle has meant to our entire family.   My brother Jim and I are shattered by her passing.  Your loss is our loss as well.  I will always think of Janelle whenever I play the  “On Golden Pond  theme “on piano.  I am deeply honored that the recording I made will be played on Monday.   Her spirit truly lives on in all of us.

We never saw Janelle as a “baby sitter.”  She became our big sister, including us in activities with her own family, going to picnics and inviting us to watch The Wizard of Oz on their COLOR tv!  Janelle achieved legendary status one afternoon when she effortlessly kicked a football over our two story house at 373 Crestview Road! I was initially concerned about breaking a window, but the ball cleared the house, landing on a parked car in the street.   My father, who witnessed the event, was incredulous.  More than fifty years later when I told him that I had reconnected with Janelle, he immediately became enthusiastic exclaiming “She kicked a football over the house!!!”  The legend of Janelle has lasted a lifetime.

It truly saddened me to hear this news of Janelle's passing. We met through Special Olympics. Our children competed together in different spots. I will miss seeing her at our events. Though we didn't get to see each other as often as we should have, when we did it was as if there had never been any lost time between us. Heaven has gained a true angel.

One wouldn’t think that your babysitter when you were 7 years old would have a noticeable impact on your life.  But if that babysitter was Janelle, you would be wrong!  Janelle, even in her teen years was a cheerful, positive force in a young boy’s life…a big sister, whose kindness and joy for life would make an impression.  So when that boy reconnected with his big sister in person, less than a year ago, it was a joyful reunion, and it reaffirmed that she had been part of our family all along.  She will be missed, and she will be remembered fondly.

I send my sincere condolences. Janelle was a long-time friend. We met at Ohio Bell when she transferred to Columbus. Truly she was one of the best people I’ve known in my life. She walked the walk always demonstrating kindness and care to everyone. I found this so inspiring. 
Over the years we worked together off and on during our careers within the Bell System. She was an exemplary employee, and always set the best example on the right way to treat our customers. I always loved it when we did get to work together because she always exuded so much joy. She was a true friend to me, and even though it’s been a while since I’ve seen her, I will miss her very much.

Kristina and family. I am devastated that my best friend is gone.  I want to thank you and your family for allowing me the chance to see my best friend Janelle one more time before she went to be with the Lord.  I loved her dearly and she was always my ameritech mom.  I valued her wisdom her knowledge and her friendship. I looked up to her as a strong woman with great morals and great values. Always wanted to be a little bit more like her. I know that she is at rest and no longer in pain and I know that this is a very hard time for you and your family. I am here if you need me. I will always always consider you all family and my friends. I know that your mother loved you dearly. She was the most proud person of all of her family her family was the most important thing in her life. I will always remember our good times.  Your mother was my best friend she was there with me through all my trials and trivias I always knew that I could pick up the phone and call her if I was hurting or if something great had happened or something sad happened she always had a lending ear. It won't be the same here on earth without her but I do know that one day we will all be together again. Thank you again for allowing me to be part of your family I love you all dearly. Prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.

I am in shock to read of Janelle’s passing.  She will definitely be missed by many.  We worked together for ATT and she was a good friend. She was alway there to help anyone.   My condolences to her family sending prayers and hugs
