James Isaac Wolford

James Isaac Wolford, age 78, passed away September 23, 2018. He was born in Circleville, Ohio to the late Samuel and Florence (Huffman) Wolford on January 9, 1940. James served in the United States Marines and was stationed in Okinawa. He lived in Hawaii for a number of years and made many lifelong friends there. He retired from United Airlines after many dedicated years as an aircraft mechanic. James was a member of the Circleville Elks Club No. 77 and loved to play the ukulele and guitar. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Zahard, John Wolford, Samuel Wolford and twin brother Francis Wolford who passed away shortly after birth. James is survived by his daughter, Andrea (Russ) Hartley; sisters, Elinor Webbe and Carolyn Myers; 2 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has been observed, but a visitation will be held Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 2-5 PM at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger 151 E Main St. Circleville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pickaway County Humane Society.
