Jim grew up in New Philadelphia, Ohio and was a 1981 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. He had a long career in landscaping and eventually owned his own business. Jim underwent a lifesaving lung transplant; which made him a huge advocate for Lifeline of Ohio. He also volunteered at Nnemap Food Pantry. Jim was an avid OSU Buckeye Fan; and enjoyed fishing trips, especially to Michigan, with his family and high school friends and ocean fishing with his son-in-law. But most of all, he loved spending time with his granddaughters.
Jim will be greatly missed by his wife; Lisa; daughter, Erin (Phil) Michalowski; granddaughters, Aubrey and Avery Michalowski; sisters, Gayle (David) Mack and Diane (Dick) West; father-in-law and mother-in-law; Dan and Esther Clark; and brothers-in-law, Lew (Darla) Clark and Steve Beitzel. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Beitzel.
Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Riverside Church, 2701 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. Following the service all are welcome for a luncheon in the Narthex.
