James E. “Jim” Houseman, 90, of Circleville, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at his residence. He was born April 23, 1923 in Fayette County, the son of Charles and Elizabeth (McCord) Houseman.
Jim graduated from Washington C.H. High School and was a member of Fayette Lodge #107 F&AM. He was always interested in automobiles and owned and operated Jim Houseman Ford in Circleville for many years.
After retiring, Jim enjoyed spending several years in Florida.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Helen (Zurface) Houseman in October, 2000. He is survived by his companion of 8 years, Betty A. Shaeffer; his nieces, Virginia Welch of Columbus and Rosemary Dilley of Washington C.H.; and friends, Mary and Jack Young.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 21, 2013 at Good Hope Cemetery in Fayette County with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M.
