James Valentine Coulter Born October 1, 1941. A resident of the Villages at Lady Lake, Fla. He passed away Wednesday, September 22, 1:15 a.m. at Dublin Methodist Hospital, Dublin Ohio. He was the son of the late Milton and Irene Coulter. He graduated from Dillonvale High School and received a certification from the RCA Electronics School. He pursued a career in electronics beginning with RCA and Bell Telephone/Western Electric. He enjoyed his occupation in Test Set Construction, diagnostics, and repair. Jim later retired at 60 from AT&T Lucent. His mind operated at an elite level. He could build or repair anything. As a child he built an electric lawn mower from an old washing machine. Made enough money with it to buy a basket case whizzer motor bike. He then took it apart and learned how to make it run by studying its internal movements. Absolute genius, he was able to solve a Rubiks Cube by studying its mechanical movements. He had a private pilot license and enjoyed flying for many decades. His signature move was a wing roll to wave bye to his kids after a visit. He had many phrases he liked to say like "Murphy's Law" when things wouldn't happen as he wished. Loud noises sounded "like a 357 Magnum" in his colorful description. Jim was a soft spoken, quiet, gentle soul with a room shaking deep voice. Shared wisdom with many he knew. Always the finest dinner guest you could cook for. Appreciated home cooked meals no matter what it was, never complained and always had 2nds or 3rds.
He leaves 2 surviving children Trudy and Tommy. Grandchildren Rachel Tooker, Cole, Caylee, and Annie Coulter. Step grandchildren Anthony and Grant Mawhorter. Brother Eugene Coulter. And Cousin Bernard Moyer. Nieces Kathy, Angela, Brenda, and Cindy. Loved animals especially dogs. He had relaxing voice that would calm and tame any animal. His sweet disposition will be greatly missed.
