James Michael "Jim" Cahill

James Michael “Jim” Cahill, Sr., age 85, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 17, 1927 to the late James Edward and Gertrude (Schreck) Cahill. Jim graduated from Aquinas High School and served in the United States Navy. He retired from Lazarus after 43 years of dedicated service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Joseph Cahill. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Betty Cahill; children, Mike (Connie) Cahill, Patty (Ken) Rutherford, and Kelly (Steve) D’Ippolito; grandchildren, Tricia Bully, Mike (Tara) Cahill, Joe (Mandy) Cahill, Tony D’Ippolito, and Carmen D’Ippolito; brother, William (Flossie) Cahill; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 2:00PM-5:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City where the funeral service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 12:30PM. Pastoral Minister Marti Hurd officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
