Dear Donna and all the Gilmores .. I was asking about Jack only a few days ago as I tried to catch up on the old gang from First Baptist in Canton.  I am so sorry to learn of his death.  We were friends in childhood.  He was a gentle and kind spirit and I remember him with friendship still.  Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss.  May God comfort you with many happy memories of Jack.

To Jack’s family — Jack was a school mate with me in Canton for several years.  He was also one of the “nine doubtfuls” — nine of us who spent six weeks in Europe in the summer of ‘69.  We spent weeks studying German in Salzburg, Austria and Jack was the best of us.  We also had a ball touring the countryside with our teacher as he introduced us to the salt mines, the castles, German cuisine, the Lake District and many other things.  I haven’t seen Jack in many years but know he will be missed by his family and friends.  You have my sympathies.  :bouquet:

I was saddened when I opened the paper this morning and saw that Jack had passed away. My sympathies to you Stacie and the girls and family. I had the honor of sharing lunch with him for many years at Illinois Mutual. When we weren’t eating it was great to work with a man who knew his business and did it well. Boys, your grandfather was very well liked.
