

Jack Duane Cordle, 69, of Butler, passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital on July 4, 2018. He was born on September 22, 1948 in West Jefferson to the late William W. and Mary Geraldine (Cross) Cordle. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Jerry Dale Cordle, Sr.
Jack is survived by his daughter Nicole Estep; son Weston Cordle; grandchildren Taylor, Kourtney, Nicolas, Kaelan, Weston, Jr., Garrett, Michael and Alayah; siblings David D. (Jeanette) Cordle, Gloria (James) Westfall, Shirley (Robert) Reveal, William W. (Anita) Cordle, Becky Jones, Debbie (Dave) Hutzell, Ida Jane (Fred) Miller and Dan (Jill) Cordle; sister-in-law Shirley Cordle; and nephew Jerry Dale Cordle, Jr.
Jack was proud to have served in the United States Army as a Ranger. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran having been deployed on multiple tours between 1967-1969. Among the decorations, medals, badges, commendations, citations and ribbons awarded were the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 1960, Combat Infantryman Badge (1st Award), two O/S Bars Expert (M60), and Marksman (M14).
Jack will be remembered for his very giving and loving nature, his smile, and for his prized Harley-Davidson.
Family will receive friends Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 1-3PM at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY. Jack will be interred on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio at 10AM. Military honors will be observed. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jack's name to your local VFW post.
