Jack L. Beltz, 84, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019. He was born July 15, 1934 in Mowrystown, Ohio to the late Vernon and Lucille (Thompson) Beltz. He was a graduate of Mowrystown H.S. Jack was a proud Army veteran who served during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post #598. Jack retired from General Motors with 35 years of service. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert D. Beltz. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda; daughter, Vicky Beltz; step-daughter, Jenny Osborn; grandchildren, Emily (Josh) Dickenson and Megan (Zachary) Weber; great-grandchildren, Alex Weber, Addison Phillips, and one more on the way; sister, Mary Jo (Jim) Ashburn; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1p.m. Monday, February 4, 2019 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Pastor Thom Schuman officiating. Graveside service, with military honors, will be held Tuesday 11:30 a.m. at Mowrystown Cemetery, Mowrystown, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Galloway Presbyterian Church.
