I had the honor of knowing Miss Ilona during her course of treatment. I must tell everyone how sweet and loving of a person she truly was. Each and every day Miss Ilona would come into the building she had the biggest smile on her face. I will never forget the smile on her face (unfortunately under a mask) when she realized I remembered who she was, and I remembered who she was because of how special she was during each and every one of our encounters. She was such a caring individual and I am truly privileged and honored to have known Miss Ilona, I only wish I could have known her under better circumstances. Miss Ilona will forever remain in my heart as one of the patient's with the greatest outlook on life, regardless of what she was going through. Words could never describe how great of a person Miss Ilona was. I will miss seeing her, but I know that through her faith and her graceful life, she is in a much better place now. Forever in my heart and not forgotten.

Brings me to tears every time I think about my incredible Aunt. She was the sweetest, most gentle and loving woman I’ve ever met. Her voice was so soothing and calming to me. I felt like a better person every time I saw her! She was also an incredibly gifted writer. Her many prayers touched my heart and so many others that have read them!She has written prayers for me personally and I am so happy I will have them forever.:heart:

Even though we lived states away, I’ve always and will always hold my Aunt Frannie so close to me. From baking together in my grandma’s kitchen when I was young, to an afternoon chat just a few months ago, every memory I will cherish. 

Praying for my uncle, their 6 children (my cousins), their 17 grandchildren, my two other aunts and my Mom during this incredibly hard time. She was a true Saint and will be missed terribly by all.:heart:I love you guys and wish I could be with you during this time, not a moment passes this week that I’m not thinking of you all and wishing I could hug you.

Gone From My Sight

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."

Gone where?

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.

And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"

We once heard that holiness attracts, and Fran certainly proved that statement to be true because of her gentle, kind, and peaceful demeanor, and especially because of her deep love of God and sharing His love and goodness with others. She used her radiant faith, intimate relationship with the Lord and tremendous talent as a writer to bring souls closer to God. Not only did she nourish so many of us with her words, but also with her skills as a baker and cook; each bite of her banana bread reminded us to "taste and see the goodness of the Lord." And what a prayer warrior!  When one asked Fran to pray for a special intention, one was assured it went straight from her mouth to God's ear. For all these reasons we'll miss her presence among us, but we are so very happy she is home and hope she's saving a place for us. 
     Ken and family,  thank you for sharing her with us, and be comforted knowing she is even more with you now than she could ever while on earth, for heaven has no bounds for those with the Lord.
