Ian Mather Mercier

Ian M. "Toby" Mercier II, 54 of Columbus, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at home. He was born February 17, 1959 in Columbus to Sylvia (Swan) Langley and the late Ian Mercier. He worked for Farnham Equipment Co. where his co-workers were also friends. A member of Carpenters Local Union #200 for 25 years, Toby was looking forward to sailing into retirement in 2014. He was passionate about his wife, family, friends and the computer game 'America's Army': where he had many friends across the country. Toby was a perfectionist; a hard worker; a dependable brother and friend; a caring son; loving father and a great husband. He will be forever missed….. In addition to his mother he is survived by Nickie his loving wife of 32 years, children Martine and Matthew, step mother Dotty Mercier, brothers Curtis, Mike (Debbie), Mitch and Mark, In laws Dennis and Irene Sourvanos, brother-in-law Jim (Angie) Yontz, Aunt Rosalind Mercier, Uncle Marcus (Donna) Swan, nieces, nephews and cousins, best friend Kevin (Kate) Hanson. Family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 AM. Interment in Union Cemetery.
