Helen Carlson

Helen Carlson passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Norwich Springs Health Campus in Hilliard, OH, after a long illness. She was born in Wilcox, Pa. on June 17, 1930, to John and Mary (Yankovich) Patrick, and married Martin Carlson on April 14, 1951. Together, they lived in Kane, Pa., North Ridgeville, OH, and Columbus, OH, before Martin passed away in 2006. She is survived by her four children, Gary (Kathleen) of Columbus, OH, Rick (Mary) of Grafton, OH, Tim (Penny) of Elyria OH, and Lori (Mike) Blake of Delaware, OH. She is also survived by her sister Anne (Warren) from Jamestown, NY, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.

She had been employed by Stackpole Carbon Co. in Kane, Pa and later by North Ridgeville Schools. Helen will be remembered as a dedicated wife and mother, a devoted Catholic, a fervent Guardians fan, and an excellent cook.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Norwich Springs and Hospice of Central Ohio for their excellent care of Helen in her final months.

A private visitation with the family will be held at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel on Zollinger Road, Columbus, OH. and a graveside service will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park in Lewis Center, OH.
