George V. Rex, age 69, of Buckeye Lake, died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at home with family by his side. George was born March 20, 1952 in Derby, Connecticut the son of the late George Donald and Amparita Marie (Sendra) Rex. He was the CEO/Director of Training for Sendrex Safety and Rescue where he was a Certified OSHA Master Instructor. He will be dearly missed by his three children; daughter Allison Rossi and her children, Sofia, Evelyn and Julia; daughter Jennifer Rex and her children, Dominic and Tristan and son Adam (English) Rex and their children, Gabriel and Chloe. George will also be sorely missed by Casey Clark; her daughter Melissa (Michael) Falter and their sons, Griffin and Nicholas; devoted furry companions, Lucy and Baron and his lifelong friends "The Janers" and many other close friends and colleagues. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Sacred Heart University and graduate studies from Colorado State University. He was a 32nd degree Mason beginning in Laramie, Wyoming. George had a larger than life personality who lit up a room when he entered. He loved to entertain, cook paella for family and friends and watch a good Rugby match, especially the "All Blacks". Wherever he went, he made friends quickly and never met a stranger. George was formerly with NYFD and was a first responder at the World Trade Center on 9/11 for three and a half months traveling from his home in Wyoming. Sleep loose George Rex! Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 am Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 5133 Walnut Road, Buckeye Lake, OH 43008 with Fr. Michael Gribble Celebrant.
