George Thomas Crosby 77, husband, father, brother and grandfather to seventeen beautiful children. He left softly and gracefully in Our Lady's arms February 8, 2019. Born in Hell's Kitchen, New York November 13, 1941, his irascible humor and focused determination produced a wonderfully unique human being. He is beyond loved. A childhood at St. Agatha Orphanage with his beloved brothers, Edward and Robert forged life long bonds. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary and siblings, Robert, John, Mary and Madeline. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Fenstermaker Crosby, who was honored to be married forty nine years to this quick-witted, charming man. His nine children, perfect in his eyes, Christopher (Tara), Colin (Vivian), Kelly (Britton), Patrick (Jennifer), Kevin (Julie), Kara (Bryan), Kyle (Caroline), Carly, Claire (Will) grandchildren, Cameron, Carson, Madeline, Cole, Gage, Karsten, Graham, Blaise, Teagan, Chloe, Virginia, Charlotte, Jackson, Lewis, Katherine, James, and Evelyn; Siblings, Ed (Bea), Joseph, Jeannie, and Maureen (Del). He graduated from DeWitt Clinton High, NY, Served USS Essex with brother, Bob, was severely injured in the Navy, and in 1971 graduated from the Ohio State University with a BA degree in political science. Family conversations revolved around history, politics, and honor. He inspired his children to grasp at the greatest heights while being true to themselves. Effort was what he looked at first on report cards. Courage in the face of extreme pain, going forward without malice for a difficult past and determination for education marked his very being.
