Preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Isler. Survived by his loving wife, Karen, of 46 years; son and daughter-in-law, Drs. Brian and Kate Isler; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Doug Potter; grandchildren, Aidan, Bryce and Colton Isler, Abby, Jack and Daniel Potter; brothers, Don (Cathy), Bill (Kathy) and Dick (Connie) Isler; sisters, Mary Ann (Tom) Stiffler and Marilyn (Mark) McCabe; numerous nieces and nephews.
Professor of Animal Science at The Ohio State University for 23 years. Owner of Lean Value Sires. Judged many hog shows in the United States and internationally. Inducted into the Ohio Agriculture Hall of Fame. He and his brothers were also inducted into the OSU Animal Science Hall of Fame. Member of All Saints Lutheran Church.
Family will receive friends on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington (Just south of I-270). Memorial service Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church, 6770 N. High St., Worthington, Rev. Bonnie Gerber officiating.
