Frederick L. Rogers, age 82, of Grove City, passed away November 9, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Dayton having served in the U. S. Army in Germany. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Dawn (Ruoff) Rogers, son; Gregory (Kelly), daughter; Linda (Gregory) Ratliff, step-sons; Brad (Cathy) Yoder, Rusty (Teri) Yoder, grandsons; TJ Rhodes, Winston and Wesley Yoder, granddaughter Casey (Joseph) Cefalu and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; George and Mabel (Worstell) Rogers, first wife; Geraldine (Sheets) Rogers, and many older brothers and sisters. He and his son, Gregory, founded Rogers Fire Protection in 1979 which he later sold to Gregory. He was a pipe fitter prior to that for many years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a life member of the VFW. Visitation will be held on Thursday November 12, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway where funeral service will be held on Friday November 13, 2015 at 1pm. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Frederick’s name to the American Heart Association.
