Frank Everson, age 88, of Gahanna, passed away in his sleep at his condo on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. He is now reunited with his Lord and beloved wife of 52 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Ann (Kavanaugh) who died in 2012 and to whom he was devoted. They were married in 1959 at St. Mary's Cathedral, Covington, KY. Frank was born on September 16, 1931 in Covington to the late George Earl and Berneda (Kinzer) Everson. He was also preceded in death by his sister Virginia (Ginny) Miskell; and brothers Arnold, Richard, Earl, and Walt. Frank is survived by daughters Angela (Ted) Ray, Annette (Allan) Wood, and Julianne (Mark) Heinmiller; grandchildren Mary Beth (Jose) Ochoa, Matt (Lindsay) Ray, Dan Ray, Nichole (Morgan) Cornwell, Meghan (Deven) Davis, Jennifer (Joseph) Taylor, Kristina (Adam) Greger, Alex (Katie) Heinmiller, and Luke, Patrick and Carolynn Heinmiller; great grandchildren Benjamin, Charlotte, Jase, Addison, Max, and Patrick; sister-in-law Millie Everson; and many nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by his family and many close friends. Frank was a 1949 graduate of Boys Town (Omaha, NE) and completed a Bachelor's degree at Villanova University (Philadelphia, PA) after ten years of night school. Frank moved his family to Gahanna in 1971. He was an active parishioner of St. Matthew Catholic Church for 48 years, attended daily Mass, and participated in many parish activities such as Charitable Works, Knights of Columbus, the parish festival, and Friends Across Time. Frank coached many St. Matthew girls' sports teams and umpired Diocesan softball games for decades. Frank and Betty traveled extensively upon his retirement from Western Electric/ATandT in 1989 after 38 years of service. They visited seven countries and all 50 states. He was passionate about his faith and his family, especially his grand and great grandchildren. He was a lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, and the University of Kentucky Wildcats. With the assistance of SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, Gahanna, the family will hold a private Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, Fr. Ted Sill, Celebrant. A public Memorial Mass will be held at a later date and will be announced. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY.
