Nora Frances (O’Banion) Houk, age 87, of Columbus, Ohio passed away December 18, 2011. Frances was born October 31, 1924 in Green County, Kentucky to the late Archie and Nora Bell (Hay) O’Banion; also preceded in death by her sisters, Mayme Nell Chedoin and Roxye Gorin and brothers, Chester (Lora), Billy, Arlene (Othel), Russell and Wayne (Cassie) O’Banion. Frances graduated from Hart County Memorial High School. She was a successful realtor/broker for over 50 years and was one of the first women to be a member of the Ohio Board of Realtors. She worked for several Central Ohio real estate companies including many years at Grove City Saxton Realty. The only thing in life more important to Frances than her career was her family. She was the proud mother of three daughters, June (Benny) Kelly of FL, Martha McClain of KY and Margi McGuire of OH; also survived by grandchildren, Carolyn Hall, Debbie (Casey) Phillips, Doug (Diane) McGuire, Alexandra (Jerry) Seyberth, Bryan (Brenda) McGuire and Kelly Devine and 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Margaret O’Banion; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends 4-7pm Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123; Graveside Service 12pm (central standard time) Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in the Hay Family Cemetery in Greensburg, KY.
