Frances (Bessey Bailey) Horton

Frances Bessey Bailey Horton, age 100, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024 at The Ashford on Broad. Fran was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 4, 1924 to the late Persis (Boody) and Prince Bessey. She was a member of Westphal Avenue Baptist Church and The Order of the Eastern Star. Fran retired from Western Electric with over 28 years of service. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Horton; son, Dayle (Barbara) Bailey; daughter-in-law, Becky Bailey; son-in-law, Jay Ketzmier and 10 siblings. She is survived by her children, Howard (Marcella) Bailey, JoAnn Ketzmier, and Bill Bailey; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service for Fran will be held 10 am Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, 8029 E Main St, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. Pastor Toby Cambron officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capital City Hospice, 2800 Corporate Exchange Dr. #170, Columbus, OH 43231. Schoedinger East is honored to care for Fran and her family.
