Floyd "Lefty" Kelly, age 92 of Grove City passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Floyd was born in Columbus to the late Floyd E. and Margaret Kelly. He graduated from West High School, class of 1944 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he proudly served his country during World War II aboard the USS Hanover. He retired from Franklin County after 30 years of combined service at the Sheriff's Office, Board of Health, and Board of Elections. During the 1950's, Floyd served as a member of the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department. He also was a lifetime member of the VFW and longtime member of the Grove City Masonic Lodge FandAM #689. Floyd enjoyed his fishing trips to Canada, hunting, and sports. Floyd is survived by his wife of 67 years Patricia Kelly; daughter Linda Kelly; son Brian (Tami) Kelly; grandson Blaine (Mollie) Kelly; and great-grandson Owen Kelly; brother John "Jack" Kelly (wife Wanda); sister Patricia Baker; and niece's and nephews. Family will receive friends 2-5 PM on Sunday, January 13 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel 3920 Broadway. The Funeral Service will be held at the same location 10 AM Monday.
