Eva L. Soma

Eva L. Soma, age 79, passed away at home on Thursday, August 22, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 17, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Dale Tiviner and Auretta Souders. Eva enjoyed cooking, canning, bowling, and spending time with her family. She was everyone’s Mom and would open her door to anyone in need. In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her husband, John Soma; son, Alan Soma; grandson, Donnie Barton, Jr; and brother, Ralph Souders. She is survived by her son, Jim Soma (Tara); daughter, Lori Boerner (Ronnie); daughter-in-law, Becky Soma; grandchildren, Shawn Barton (Wendy), Ashley Weekley (Rob), Cody Soma, Jacob Boerner, Mackenzie Ray (Jacob), Luke Boerner, Mitchell Soma, Payton Boerner ,and Matthew Soma; great-grandchildren, McKayla Cook (Seth), Cierra Barton, Brock Barton, Laken Weekley, Ethan Weekley, Braxton Cook, and Lucas Ray; brother, George “Butch” Tiviner; many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Sunday, August 25th and 9-11 am Monday, August 26th at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Columbus, OH 43232. Funeral service will begin 11 am Monday, August 26th. Interment to follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
