Estella M. Crump

Estella M. Crump, age 89, of Columbus, died Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at her home with family at her side. She was born on November 27, 1932 in Warren, North Carolina. She graduated from John R Hawkins High School. She is preceded in death by her biological parents Plomer and Alice (Kerney) Brodie, her foster parents - Roland and Pattie Lee Jordan and her beloved sister, Carrie Allen. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and is survived by her husband of 67 years, Isaac L. Crump (Air Force, retired); sons, Ronald (Kimberly) Crump and Dana (Denise) Kirby; grandchildren Brandon Jackson, Tyler Crump, Olivia Crump, Charles Anderson and Jason Kirby; great-grandchildren, Camryn, Charnel, Charlene, Charles, Ashton, Ayden, Lili and Tosi; 2 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces nephews, cousins from the Brodie, Jordan, Crump families and many friends. Estella worked as nurse’s aide for over 30 years finally retiring in 1994 from Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Estella was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, where she was an active member in several activities and groups. In Estella free time she was an avid reader and especially loved to travel. Funeral Service will be held 12:30 pm Monday, January 31, 2022 at Christ United Methodist Church, 1480 Zettler Road, Columbus, OH 43227, where family and friends may call from 11:00 am-12:30 pm Monday. Pastor Cornell Graham officiating. Interment to follow Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a local animal shelter or humane society, in Estella’s memory.
