Elsie Martin

Elsie Martin, age 103, formally of Beckley, West Virginia died peacefully October 27, 2020 at The Forum at Knightsbridge in Columbus, OH. Born November 10, 1916, her passing was two weeks before her 104th birthday.

She was known for her extraordinary musical talent. During her lifetime she served as pianist and organist at three churches: Crab Orchard Baptist, First Baptist, and Memorial Baptist, all in or near Beckley. She also was the principal pianist and organist for Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home for 35 years.

She was preceded in death by husband, Harvey, and daughter, Peggy Martin Plumley. She is survived by daughters Phyllis (David) Brewster, and Shirley (William) Keesee; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
