Ellie Hallman

Eleanor “Ellie” Ann Hallman, 81, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2022 in Powell. She was born on July 17, 1940 in Gwinner, North Dakota to the late Rev. Eskil and Inez (Wambhiem) Bostrom . Preceded in death by her beloved husband James Hallman and her brother James Bostrom.

Ellie loved gardening and could bring anything back to life. She had a lemon tree from her father that she kept alive for over 30yrs. Known for her amazing Cakes (the cake lady) and baking. She loved to bake and decorate Easter basket cakes and give them to friends and family. She was an incredible cook, she could make leftovers taste like a gourmet meal. Her celebrations for Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter were so special! You were always welcome in her home!

Ellie is survived by her 4 children, Stephen (Melissa) Casari, Thomas Casari, Daniel (Chris) Casari, and Kimberly (Mike) Craig; sisters Kaye Dulzo and Mary Wilson; sister-in-law Ruth Bostrom; many nieces and nephews; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 26, 2022 at 3pm at Schoedinger North, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43229. Friends are welcome to gather the hour prior to the celebration.

In lieu of flowers donations in her honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
