Ellen T. Berry

Ellen T. Berry, age 86 of Columbus, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011. Ellen was born in Huntington, West Virginia, daughter of the late Wilbur and Katherine Thomas. Also preceded in death by her husband, David Berry, son, David Berry II, and half brother, Edwin Turner. Ellen graduated from The Ohio State University, received her Masters Degree in Library Science from Kent State University, and also has a certification in genealogy. History and genealogy was something of interest to Ellen, and throughout her life she has written numerous books on genealogy. She had a passion for her family and took much pride in being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Christine Berry; grandchildren, Jason Berry and Julie (Benn) Jordan; brother, Jack Thomas; and other dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Thursday, January 20, 2011 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends from 3 P.M. until time of service. Private burial.
