Elizabeth “Betty” Peel, age 82, of Blacklick, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2011. She was born April 23, 1929 in Brewster, Ohio to the late John and Flossie (McCormick) Hill. She was a 1947 graduate of Brewster High School and a 1951 graduate of The Ohio State University. She taught home economics in Hebron, Ohio and retired from Hallmark at Town & Country after 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Peel and brother, Donald Haley. She is survived by her twin daughters, Lynette (Milton) Jones and Lynda Peel; grandchildren, Carly Jones and Bryce Jones; sisters, Annie Cawrse and Dotty Hill and her friend Jonne Shiley; friends, Dorothy Walker, Mary Havens and all of her Hallmark and Lakeside friends; nieces, nephews and her beloved dog, Ginger Babe. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, sewing, being outdoors in nature and cheering on the OSU Buckeyes. Betty was a very giving and caring person who instilled in her family the values of a good education and using their God-given gifts to the best of their abilities. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6pm Monday, November 7, 2011 at Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, 1636 Graham Rd., Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 where family will receive friends from 5-6pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church (attn.
