

Edward W. “Yock” Strawser, age 85 of Amanda died Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. He was born April 20, 1927 in Circleville, son of the late Edward and Minnie (Cooper) Strawser.
He was a graduate of Circleville High School, class of 1948. He was retired from Columbus & Southern Electric as a control operator. Yock was a member of the United States Trotting Association, the Pickaway County Horseman Association and the Circleville Elks Lodge. He loved time spent watching his grandchildren play sports.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Franklin D. and Dick Strawser. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Darlene” (Brown) Strawser; children Tim (Edie) Strawser and Annette Strawser, of Circleville, Becky (Mark) Shaw of Williamsport, Dwight (Jodi) Seymour and Neal (Tammy) Seymour of Canal Winchester, John (June) Seymour of West Mansfield, OH; grandchildren Nathan (Tammi), Jeremy, Heather, Brittany, Drew, Richard, Rachel, Tanner, Casi, Shannon, Jennifer (Tony), Lauren (Joe), Catheryn, Neal, Connor, Abigail, Clayton, Nick, Caroline and Sophia; great grandchildren Tatum, Ava, Alexis, and Michael; sisters Betty Neal and Margaret Downing of Circleville; brothers Jess (Midge) Strawser, Zeke (Shirley) Strawser, and John Strawser, all of Circleville, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Reber Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 12-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
