Edward Alexander, 80, a resident of Whetstone Care Center, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011. He was born April 12, 1931 in Glouster, OH to the late Edward and Genevieve (Lunsford) Alexander Sr. He was a graduate of Glouster High School 1950 and a U.S. Marine veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. He retired after thirty nine years with Kinnear Manufacturing. He was a championship checker player, enjoyed bowling and euchre. He was a very special man, the families Hero who will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor and sister, Eileen Elson. He is survived by four children John (Nancy) Alexander, Elizabeth Conley, Karen (Terry) Miller and Kurtis (Karen) Mays, eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, two brothers Charles (Mary Ann) and James (Delores), a half sister Margaret Roberts. Family will receive friends Saturday from 9 AM until time of service at 10 AM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. Interment will follow in Northlawn Memory Gardens.
