Earl Homer Vance, 66, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born in Columbus, Ohio and was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran. He graduated from Bethany Bible College and received his Masters in Computer Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnic University, Fremont California. Earl was recently employed by Daxter. He was a kind and generous soul with a strong faith in God. He will be greatly missed. Earl was preceded in death by his father, Homer C. Vance; mother, Dorothy Vance Bays; and niece, Jeannie L. Dotson. Earl is survived by three brothers: Billy G. Vance, Locie D. Vance, and Phillip D. Henry; as well as three sisters: Joyce A. (Daniel) Kirk, Judy M. Vance, and Elizabeth F. (Michael) Ward; 13 nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. A Graveside Service, with Air Force military honors, will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2021 in the chapel mausoleum at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, 5802 Elder Rd, Canal Winchester, OH 43110.
