Douglas L. Boggs

Douglas L. Boggs, age 78, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at home. Doug was born on May 6, 1942 in Galloway, Ohio to Oliver and Esta Boggs. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. Doug was President for 15 years with the IATSE Local 12 Stage Hand Union. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing cards with friends. Doug was very proud of his 3 sons and their personal accomplishments. Preceded in death by his wife, Maureen Hyland Boggs; parents; and brother, Jack Boggs. Survived by his sons, Brian (Paula) Boggs, Aaron (Booyoung) Boggs and Travis Boggs; grandchildren, Clayton, Connor and Gavin; exchange student he considered his son, Benjamin Kwon; siblings, James (Linda) Boggs, Ronald (Angela) Boggs and Jeanie (Bill) Seaton; friends, Richard (Bev) Tisdale; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen (Michael) Wiley, along with many other in-laws, nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place from 10-12:00 pm on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Heart and Hope Funeral Home by Schoedinger, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204. Interment Sunset Cemetery.

Due to the current guidelines only 25 people are allowed to be in the visitation room at one time and only 50 people for the funeral service. Doug's service will be webcast on our website starting at 12 noon if you are unable to attend the service.
