Dorothy Dohan Shepard

Dorothy Dohan Shepard, age 98, died November 20, 2012 at the Kobacker House, Columbus. She was born November 12, 1914 in Springfield, Ohio. Dottie was an avid bridge player, member of the Childhood League, member of the Ohio State Presidents Club, and a generous giver to the United Way. She enjoyed spending time with family and traveling around the world. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Dohan; sister, Marjorie Dohan, and daughter, Lynne Jones. Dottie is survived by her husband, of 40 years, Arthur; daughter, Marcia (John Meyer) Mock; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; nephews, Alan (Lucinda) Dohan and David (Janet) Dohan; 1 grand-niece; 2 grand-nephews; and many special friends. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus. Mass of Christian burial will follow 2:00 PM at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1088 Thomas Lane, Columbus with Fr. Timothy Hayes, Celebrant. Burial 11:00 AM Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Calvary Cemetery, 3155 E. Possum Rd., Springfield, OH 45502. Contributions in Dottie’s memory may be made to the Kobacker House, 180 E.
