Dorothy was a kind and loving person. She was lovingly called Nana Claus for her generous spirit. Dorothy attended Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, and she retired from JC Penney after 30 years of dedicated service. Dorothy was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Kentucky Wildcats fan as well.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Johnson; sisters, Ruth Ogg, Betty Swackhammer, and Joyce Rife and brother, Robert Spangler. She is survived by her son, James Johnson, Jr. (Charla), Pamella Spence (Chris Smith), and Linda Lowe (Dennis); grandchildren, Gabe, Raleigh, Ian, Jamelle, Jessica, Gary, Colin, Cody, and Taylor; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Private graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 26th at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Schoedinger East is honored to care for Dorothy and her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Summit Hospice.
