Dorothy J. Froehlich, 85, of Columbus, passed away on April 28, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 22, 1926 in Wilmerding, PA to the late Jesse and Blanche (Mount) Frace. She graduated from Barnesville High School, Barnesville, OH. Dorothy retired from Teamsters Local #413, past president and board member of Columbus Teamsters Retiree Club, Franklin County Democratic Women’s Club, former Ward 24 Democratic Committee member, former State President of Ohio Federation of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Charter member past president and Mother of the Year of Columbus Mothers of Twins Club, Red Hat Society, Senior Snappy Tappers, Germania Club, volunteered for many years and sang in Senior Choir at Ohio State Fair. Preceded in death by husband Charles F. Froehlich and sister Rita A.Ware. Survived by children: Alana (Tim) Varley, Barbara Varley, Michael (Brenda) Froehlich of York, PA, Mark (Patti) Froehlich of Columbus, Terri (Mike Miller) Sizemore of London, OH, grandchildren: Doug Gallo, Kathleen Pfeifer, Anthony (Tracy) Gallo, Nick Gallo, Erin (Stacie) Varley, Meghan (John) Hamilton, Jennifer (fiancée D.J. Davis) Duckworth, Matthew (Brandi) Froehlich, Micha’el (Ryan) Hogan, Bethany (fiancée Jared Dombrowski) Froehlich, Mark Froehlich, John Froehlich, Luke Froehlich, Christopher Froehlich, Patrick Froehlich, Shellie (Donnie) Bell, great grandchildren: Lauren, Dylan, Katie, Gwen, Timmy, Camden, Ada, Macy, Makenna, Abram, Allison, Carly, Chloe and Max, brother: Edward (Vivian) Frace, Sunbury, OH, sister: Ilene McFarland, Grand Junction, CO, family friend: “Uncle” Clarence Schimmel, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Scott Kramer Wednesday at 10:30 AM at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 1652 Oakland Park Ave., Columbus.
