Dorothy Louise Coleman

Dorothy Coleman, 90, passed away on February 8, 2019. She was born in Paintsville, Kentucky on July 6, 1928 to the late James and Louise Boggs. She was a home maker most of her life, caring for her family and her home. When her children were starting to grow up, she went to work as a cook at Bexley City Schools. She took care of all of the students there as well and they all called her "Mom" for her loving nature. She has also been a faithful member of the Columbus Primitive Baptist Church since January 1967.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Robert; and siblings, Eileen, Harold, and Earlene.

Dorothy will be greatly missed by her husband of 65 years, Rev. Lundy Coleman; her children, Marylynn Saunders, Richard Justice, Sandra Harris, and David (Monica) Coleman; her grandchildren, Angela, Jonathan, Alexandra, Jason (Peggy), Samantha (Eric); and her great grandchildren, Anna, Amber, Andrea, Ava, Kaitlin, Gavin, Bryce, Hunter, Aarionna.

Dorothy's family would like to especially thank the New Albany Gardens Staff and the Summit Hospice for taking such great care of their mom.

Arrangements were entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230 where a visitation will take place on Tuesday February 12, 2019 from 11am-12:30pm immediately followed by a service at 12:30pm. Interment will take place at Mifflin Cemetery.
