Dorothy E. Black, age 88, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021. She was born February 1, 1933, in Columbus, OH to the late Arthur and Edith Stuart. Dorothy is survived by children; Stacey (James) Black, and Brian (Kimberly) Black, grandchildren; Kenneth Bryan, Jess Bryan, Brandon Black, and Brett Black, along with other dear family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, William Black, brothers: Donald and Richard Stuart, cousin, Bobby (Peaches) Martin, and aunt, Thelma Broche. Dorothy was very involved the community, belonging to Champion Motor Homes camping club, playing cards with the seniors at the Senior Center at Whitehall, the Women's Auxiliary Fleet Reserve, and Whitehall Historical Society. She was family oriented and adored spending her time, sharing her sass and humor with them. She was a bright presence in people's lives and will be missed deeply. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, December 17, 2021 at Heart and Hope by Schoedinger - Hilltop, 3030 West Broad Street, where friends will be received from 12-2:00pm Friday; Private interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
