Dora F. Zweydorff, age 88, of Canal Winchester, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Canal Winchester Health and Rehab Center. She was born February 10, 1935 in New Albany, Indiana, daughter of Ernest and Lillian (Schmidt) Durbin. A loving wife, mother and Nana, she will be sorely missed by her children, Debra (Thomas) Kaminski, Brenda (Greg) Hoffman, Diane (Rick) Fender, Mark (Michele) Zweydorff, Michael Zweydorff, Christopher (Kimberly) Zweydorff, Rick (Chris) Zweydorff and Lori (Bryan) Wallace; 23 beloved grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Sue Durbin Pfeiffer and a brother Ronnie Durbin; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Besides her parents, Dora was preceded in death by her husband William Zweydorff, the love of her life for over 60 years; daughter, Belinda Smith; granddaughter, Margaret Stintsman; great-grandson Brock “Boo” Holderby; two brothers and two sisters. She was often found playing bingo, bowling and rooting for her favorite teams, the OSU Buckeyes and the Green Bay Packers. She attended mass at St. Joseph Cathedral for many years. But she was most known for the devotion for her family, her cookies and weekly family game nights. Friends may call 9:30- 10:30 am Saturday, December 30, 2023 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232, where funeral service will be held 10:30 am Saturday. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in Dora’s name.
